Saturday Drop Off Sessions Jan-Mar

Session Dates and Times:

January 13th, Feburary 3rd, March 9th - 9:30-11:30

Please note Februarys session is one week early to avoid the half term holidays. This means it is the first Saturday of the month. 

Ticket costs:

£10 per session per child

Sessions are booked in termly blocks or individually for each months session, so total cost changes depending on the amount of sessions in the term.

Nature Explorers is a safe place for children to learn and grow together in the outdoor and woodland environment. ‘It is about the process, not the product’ (Montessori).

Forest School is a long-term process of frequent and regular sessions in a woodland environment and so we provide weekly, term-time sessions for children of different ages.(Sometimes, we run holiday programmes!)

Children are given the freedom to explore, create, learn, have fun, take supported and appropriate risks, and share community with others in the natural world. We encourage a love for nature and have a child-focused approach. Children can play and have choice. We share group games, teamwork activities, stories, nature crafts and create items with real tools. We build fires and cook campfire treats together.

There is an opportunity to join our Forest School badge scheme with 'Releasing Potential'. Ask for details.

Forest School sessions take place in all weathers, except in dangerously high winds, (sessions cancelled due to extreme weather are non refundable). Participants are strongly recommended and advised to wear appropriate clothing and footwear for the outdoors. Some materials used in activities may stain clothing. Please dress for mud, mess and the weather. Campfire snacks are often provided, though we recommend bringing your own snacks and drinks in a backpack to keep you going throughout the session if needed. Walking boots or wellies and waterproof clothing is recommended.

Activities are tailored for children’s needs and interests. We work with parents and children to meet individual learning needs so everyone can join in with fun at Forest School and planned activities if they wish.

Our Forest School Leaders are qualified, DBS-checked and outdoor first aid trained.
